I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana also certified in Telehealth. I am a native of Acadiana and graduated from the Episcopal School of Acadiana. I then went on to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Millsaps College and later a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Prior to working in Private Practice I worked with children, teens and families struggling with behavioral concerns and the parent/child relationship. I’ve also worked in the health care setting providing education on stress management to older adults with chronic health conditions as well as smoking cessation counseling. These previous settings have helped to grow and inform the care I provide in your session.

A personalized approach

I create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to lean into your toughest moments to glean insight, overcome challenges and encourage resiliency and hope for the future. I believe that each client inherently possesses the skills and inner strength to achieve their potential. Together, we can break through the behavioral and emotional barriers that stand in your way towards a full and authentic life.

On a personal note, I am a wife and mother of a toddler and newborn. When I am not working or home with family, you can find me enjoying live music, dining out with friends or getting competitive on the pickle ball court.

My Therapeutic Techniques

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT is an approach that works well for a variety of mental and emotional concerns that focuses on how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. In CBT, I find and dispute the negative or dysfunctional thoughts that lead you towards unfulfilling or maladaptive behaviors. In CBT, mindset matters. Assessing and addressing your thinking can free you from significant emotional pain.

Relational Life Therapy, developed by bestselling author and therapist Terry Real, is a powerful, direct, and compassionate approach to couples work. Unlike traditional therapy that only focuses on insight, RLT is designed to create real change in how partners show up for each other—right in the session.

RLT helps couples:

  • Break destructive patterns by addressing unhelpful behaviors, not just talking about them.

  • Heal from disconnection by teaching partners how to repair ruptures with honesty, accountability, and compassion.

  • Balance love and power—creating relationships that are both deeply connected and fair.

  • Transform family legacies by understanding how early family experiences shape current dynamics, and learning healthier ways to relate.

With RLT, the therapist is active and coaching-oriented—not a neutral observer. We call out harmful patterns with warmth and respect, while guiding partners toward the skills they need for a thriving, intimate, and equitable relationship.

The goal of RLT isn’t just to “fix problems.” It’s to help couples build a new way of relating—one that is grounded in truth, mutual respect, closeness, and a shared vision for the future.
